Amanda Kernell
Amanda was born and raised in Umeå, Sweden and has been making short films since 2006. She graduated as a director from the National Film School of Denmark in 2013 and the idea for her feature film debut Sami blood was first pitched at Nordic Talents the same year. The film premiered at Venice Film Festival in 2016 and was screened at Toronto, Sundance and the Berlinale. In Sweden it reached an audience of more than 200.000 in the cinemas. Amanda’s latest film, Charter premiered in competition at Sundance Film Festival 2020. Amanda has been nominated for the Nordic Council Film Prize twice, with Sami blood in 2016 and Charter this year.
Sigurjón Kjartansson
Sigurjón is the Head of Development at RVK Studios. He wrote and was the showrunner of Baltasar Kormákur's Trapped series (2015, 2018). In addition, he has written and produced several drama series. He is the co-creator of the upcoming Netflix series, Katla, which will be premiered in 2021.
Eva Mulvad
Eva is one of Denmark’s leading documentary film makers. She graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 2001. Among her works are Enemies of Happiness (2006) and The Good Life (2010) that won awards at international film festivals like IDFA, Sundance and Karlovy Vary. Her latest documentary is the festival hit Love Child from 2019. She is also co-owner and founder of the acclaimed production company Danish Documentary. Eva has received “Roos pris” for her collected works and is since 2019 a member of the prestigious Oscar Academy.
Jussi Rantamäki
Jussi is the owner of Aamu Film Company based in Helsinki. He works closely with four devoted directors in long term relationships that start from making short films and develop into international fiction features. Since the content of a film defines its form, all their productions are hand crafted for the content in question. His company has premiered four short films in Cannes and Juho Kuosmanen's debut feature film The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki won The Prix un Certain regard in Cannes 2016. The film was also Finland’s nominee for The Nordic Council Film Prize the same year.
Tone C. Rønning
Tone is Executive Producer and Commissioning Editor at NRK. Her portfolio includes series like the Half Brother, Lillyhammer, The Heavy Walter War, Nobel, Valkyrien, all awarded at International and/or National Festivals. Upcoming series are Atlantic Crossing, Norsk-ish (Immigrant-ish) and Countrymen. Tone has a background from directing, writing and producing most genres and a lot for kids. She is teaching at film schools and running workshops for colleagues in Europe, Asia and the Arab countries. She is also Head of EBU’s Fiction Bureau.
